Capricorn Dogs (December 22 – January 19)
The mighty planet Saturn rules this Earth sign. Colors range from dark green to violet and black. Amethyst is the preferred gem stone while the tree is the noble Pine.
The motto is “Do the Right Thing.” This is part of the complex nature of the Capricorn dog. Because Capricorn is always craving admiration and love, these dogs tend to be a flirt. They love attention at the Doggy Salon. They want to be admired for their looks and even their brains. Capricorn dogs, as a result, tend to be good show dogs. Aquarius Dogs (January 20 – February 18)
The planet Uranus rules over this fixed Air sign. The colors are blue and violet. The gem stones are also blue-to-purple being aquamarines and amethysts. The trees are all fruitful: Pear, Apple, Plum, Orange.
The motto of an Aquarius dog is “I just want to see how it works.” This is behind a lot of what Aquarian dogs do. It is also why they can get into mischief if not downright trouble. From puppies to adults they are curious, precocious from step one. They must know it all.
Aquarius dogs are free spirits. They are trusting, fearless and courageous. They can talk incessantly. Yet, Aquarians can be thoughtful when they are planning/plotting what to do next. Whatever it is they plan to do, it will exhibit a lot of originality and creativity.
Great eaters, good athletes and independent, Aquarius dogs learn easily. The problem is convincing them they should learn in the first place. Moreover, Aquarians have their own idea of how and when they need to learn. Give them some leeway, but do maintain some semblance of control.
Aquarian dogs love people but tolerate other animals in their home. Be aware of this and adopt the proper measures when introducing another human or animal into the house.

The planet is Mercury, the color, chartreuse. Virgo is an Earth sign with a fondness for nut bearing trees. The gem stones are pink jasper and sapphires.
The motto is “Zen puppy.” Virgos do need to tone down some of your verbal expressiveness. You may also want to watch the digging. Virgos are the best at digging the ultimate hole to China. Gardens and pristine lawn keepers beware or adapt. Yet, in general, a Virgo dog is a delight. This puppy or dog is the most tranquil of all the signs.Virgos tend to be naturally friendly with a warm disposition. They adapt easily to the chaos that may overwhelm other more timid or rigid dogs. At the same time, Virgo dogs love routine and are sometimes shy around strangers or in crowded training sessions.
