Xmas and New Year

Xmas was fantastic for us three ... we all got tons of new toys and lots of eatable treats , best of all Mum didnt make us wear any silly hats , lol
she has made a daft piccie of us all though , all ready for New Year , she likes it, she says it makes her smile

humans are weird , Its a good job they feed us so well and give great cuddles or we'd be off , hehehehe

Wet days

Hi , Toffee here
Its wet and windy at the moment here ... not weather the three of us really like , its cold on our paws ... we're ok once Mum gets us outside , but usually we'll just lurk in the doorway until she tells us to go pee
I do miss going out and playing racey chasey , even though its my choice to stay in ... its just not the same playing it indoors

Toffee ... you tell her we dont want to go outside ... ITS WET !

My little girl

Gypsy has started her first season ... she's all grown up now  :)
I feel a bit mean though because she isnt getting her walks (for the obvious reason I dont want puppies here , but also I dont want to make life awkward for any owners of intact males) Im stimulating her mind as much as I can , but of all my dogs , she is the one that loves her walks the most , so is missing them terribly

we kinda sneak Toffee and Teddy out for their walks hoping she wont hear or notice , but she usually does ... the poor love sounds so pathetically cute whining to go with them

Teddy is a bit of a nightmare at the moment , he keeps trying to mount her , even though he's been neutered ... so if he starts hassling her we separate her from the boys , Gypsy with me, The boys with Jean, My Daughter ... Toff and Teddy are sleeping in her room too until her seasons over

hopefully this will be her first and last season as im getting her spayed in February (midway between seasons)

My poor baby

Gypsy has been sticking her nose in where its definately not wanted ... and had an allergic reaction to it

Yesterday she had a pea sized lump on her muzzle , by tea-time it had swollen up a lot and two more lumps appeared , which also swelled up, her poor muzzle (on top) was one big lump
in herself though she was fine , still playing facey bitey with the other two and still her sweet natured self

Id made a vets appointment for this morning (earliest I could get) but typically by this morning the swelling had all gone ... we kept the appointment though ... his best guess was it had been a mild allergic reaction possibly to nettles
He said it may or may not happen again & not to worry about it (im always going to worry about my baby) , but if it does and is more severe (whole body) then bring her in and he'll give her a steroid shot
The vet didnt charge us a penny for seeing and examining her either , I know some would have , so it was a pleasant surprise :)

Teddy's progress

He's found his bark after a week of silence , lol

Yesterday I was messing around going 'say woof Teddy' and he started barking every time I said it , bless him

He asks to go out , to start with he would come up to me and put his paw on my knee ... now he just barks at me (its fun being a slave huh , lol)
His recall (in the house and garden) is spot on ... ive started trusting him offlead in the garden now , as long as someone is by the gate ... but to be honest I dont know why im bothering , the second I call him he comes running ... theres a lot more work to do with him though before I trust him offlead in the field
He's def not food or toy possesive ... though his bite and chewing capabilities outmatch even Toffee , which I never thought possible , we had a rubber 'jack' toy , our sweet little Teddybear has chewed off all three of its feet :eek:

Introducing Teddy

We have a new addition to our family ... His names Teddy & he's about 2 years old.
We found him temporarily staying at the Freedom of Spirit Trust for border collies , we rang and arranged to see him and fell in love ... I think it was the way he bounced in and straight away started giving me kisses , from that second I was hooked :)
Its like he was meant to be a part of our family .. Toffee and Gypsy love him & he loves them ... first thing he did when he met the kidlets was give them a licky bath , I must admit they needed one , lol

Dad took this flying thing onto the field during our tea-time walk ... we arent sure what it is but we figured it was a new toy for us , but Dad wouldnt let us near it .... which was a bit strange cos it is ours after all !

it was very very high up and we couldnt reach it anyway , even Toff couldnt when he stood on his back legs and he's miles bigger than me , so I didnt stand a chance :O

We had fun chasing around below it though , and we know that one day we will make it ours *insert evil chuckle here*

August Bank holiday at the Lodge

It rained the entire weekend , not that it stopped us getting our walks and playtime , so no complaints from us
Mum and Dad only managed to get a few piccies , they didnt want to risk ruining the camera , but this is pretty much all we do anyway , lol

We took the kidlets onto the field with us today ... we had loads of fun chasing a tennis ball and playing racey chasey with each other , we're much faster though , they never could catch us unless we stopped :D
