I especially love the pic of Teddy's dilemma ... he has his flying squirrel in his mouth , but a tennis ball is hurtling towards him , should he drop the squirrel and catch the ball or get out of the way of the ball ?

Toffees walk today was a little wet and muddy , but do you think he cared (he did when he was made to get a bath , lol)

Balls , Frisbees and Squirrels ... Oh My

Today each dog seemed to have their favourite toy out on the field with them
Gypsy had her Tennis ball ... Toffee had his new blue frisbee & Teddy had his flying squirrel

OMG both his ears can stand upright , lol

All he needs is a cape , lol

Can you believe this is what they are like after an hours walk , and most of that walk consisted chasing each other around a huge field

Tell me , why did I want Border Collies again , lol

Toffee is 3 years old today :)

Its hard to believe but my baby is 3 years old today :)


He went to P@H with us this afternoon and chose a new toy (well we chose it but he definately wagged his tail when we asked him did he like it , lol) and then he chose a huge box of Tripe sticks for Him , Teddy and Gypsy to share
He got made a huge fuss of by two kids and their Mum , made a new friend (a miniature Schnauzer) , and the girl on the till gave him a couple of treats , so she is now his new best friend :D

when we got home we decided training could go out the window and all three dogs could have a walk together , they all loved it  , but especially Toff, the Birthday boy with his new bright blue frisbee

Nasty woman :(

I was out with Toffee earlier this evening & we came across this woman with her dog (I didnt recognise the breed , it was cute though , a friendly white fluffy terrier type dog)
Ive never seen her before , or her dog , but she stopped and asked me why would I get a 'fake' border collie ?
I told her that Toffee was a pure BC , just not KC reg as both his parents were working farm dogs
she replied id been conned and that he looked nothing like a BC cos his colour was wrong ... so
I explained that BC's can come in a variety of colours and no I hadnt been conned and he was a pure BC
She then turned really nasty and started pulling Toffee to pieces , saying his ears werent pricked
like they should be, his legs and muzzle are too long , his eyes werent 'right' (whatever that meant) etc etc

Now I am usually very polite with strangers , but i m not ashamed to say I didnt just stand there and take it ... no-one puts my baby down and gets away with it
She ended up storming off saying I was rude , lol

My Toffee is the most loyal , cuddly adorable dog anyone could wish for
so , heres my 'fake' BC :D , lol

With her trademark one paw in the air (Ive only started noticing how often she does that since someone pointed it out to me , lol)

Gypsy is a strange girl , lmao
First she took a dislike to her stainless steel bowl and wouldnt eat from that , so we got her a nice new china bowl , which she ate from for all of four days , now we just tip the food on the floor for her , but she's started 'herding' the food into a nice neat pile before eating it , which always makes me laugh :D

Another great walk with Gypsy

Just had another excellent one-on-one training session with Gypsy

She was offlead and there were three other dogs on the field with us , (a JRT , A miniature Schnauzer and a little white bitsa) the Schnauzer was going mental yapping at Gypsy , but apart from looking at the other dog Gypsy did as she was told and stayed where she was

she's such a star

Im sooo proud of Gypsy today

We had one of our one-on-one walks this morning , I put her in her new harness and used a short lead .... I dont know whether it was the new harness or whether it was because the lead was clipped onto her back and not the collar but she didnt pull at all , which was amazing :)

But she really topped that when we got to the field
There were already two other strange dogs there , I made the decision to try and work her with no lead on anyway
she was aware they were there , but her focus never wavered from me for one second , for an hour she just did everything I asked
It was possibly the best time just me and her have ever had

Yay , all of them like their new Harnesses

They were much more relaxed today , I left them on while they played in the garden and walked them around the street a bit , kept giving lots of praise and treats and I think all three are happy wearing them now

Dogs pressies have arrived (superfast delivery huh)

Surprisingly its Toffee who minds wearing his harness the least (I would have sworn it would be Teddy who wouldnt care) , so I grabbed a quick piccie of him ... and one of him wearing his new collar too
He really doesnt mind the Harness , but as he hates the camera he isnt looking very happy (he got lots of loves and a treat though so dont feel too sorry for him , lol)

I've bought each dog a nice new Ezydog Harness , but im not sure how well received they will be (they arent here yet , I just ordered them online)

Teddy I dont think will care much as long as he gets his walks ... but Toff and Gypsy arent keen on being 'dressed up' ... so it will take lots of treats and careful introduction at a slow pace to get them used to theirs
