The field

It seems to me that I complain about the field where I exercise my dogs all the time , saying its boring and flat and all the pics I take on it look the same
so ive decided to look at it from a different perspective ... without this field my dogs wouldnt have a tenth of the fun they have right now ......  a lot of other people and their dogs would probably be ecstatic to have a field as huge as this one that 9 times out of 10 has no-one but us on it
so from now on im going to be grateful for what I have .. three gorgeous dogs and a wonderful place for them to play in

and speaking of play ... heres a few (ok a lot) of pics taken over the last couple of days ... unfortunately not many of my Teddybear as he isnt one for running and jumping around that much , he just lies in the grass , like this , lol

Im sitting here infront of the puter , minding my own business , its quiet cos for once I dont have any music blaring or any dvd on , and the dogs are all lying down nicely having a snooze ....

then BANG , A poor bird smacks into the window (no damage to the window and the bird flew off so hopefully no damage to it either)

suddenly I have two border collies on my knee , or at least trying to get onto my knee (they arent small dogs , lol)

yep , Toffee and Gypsy were soooo startled by the poor bird that they both almost did a sidelong leap onto me to save them

Teddy barely raised his head to look , lol

I dont have 3 dogs , I have one dog and two little scaredy cats :D

Sunny Playtime

We've been having gorgeous weather here lately , so the dogs are definately enjoying themselves on the field , though it does entail their slave (me) dragging along a huuuuge bottle of water for them  :)

Twofold success

Ive been working extra hard lately with all three dogs and their 'wait' command and also their excitability when the postie is around
Overall we've been doing well ... this morning was excellent :)

I put the three of them in a wait at the top of the stairs this morning , went down , pottered about , put the kettle on , wandered past the stairs , opened the front door & still the dogs stayed put until I waved them down ... so they will now 'wait' for a good 5 minutes even with the front door wide open , success number one

Posties making his rounds , All three dogs are VERY aware he is in the street, I put them in a sit and say 'wait' , not one dog moved a muscle , there was some excited whining but no-one broke the command , well not until I started lavishing praise on them , then I got buried under an avalanche of fluffy border collies all striving to be the first to get a hug , lol , success number two

The Amigos had a great playtime on the field today , lots of running and jumping and chasing and general merriment  ... all the things I love to see
A perfect walk  :)

BUT ....
Toffee found something truly icky just before we were due to come home and had to rub his neck in it , luckily we saw him and stopped him before he managed a full body roll in it .... I think it was fox poo cos OH MY GAWD the smell was horrendous
So far he has had two baths and he still stinks to high heaven , Im gonna have to get the tomato ketchup out I think
Why is it always him , lol
